The Amberwood Drums is a peerless percussion and scoring tool. It features natural woodstick percussion; atmospheres; reversed, metal and glass sounds to create spaciousness and naturalness to complement any modern music from Indie Folk & Rock over Ambient, Pop, Hip Hop, Electro to Blurred Atmospheres whenever warm and natural Woodsticks and other percussion or atmospheres (like velvet rain and other nature sounds) are required.
 

More than 100 Sound Sources

All sounds have been recorded several times and sampled round robin for the real natural, organic feel. The sound of the Amberwood Drums is natural, spatial and gentle but it can also become creepy and dark, depending on how you want the Amberwood Drums to be used.

Not just only Wood Percussion

Each sound source represents a single instrument and can be layered and combined with each other to build complete new and individual, even experimental, sounds. Like kick drums or complete drum sets with hihats & snares are possible.

There are also numerous beautiful atmospheres, noises, dirts, metal, glass and reversed sounds to complement the wooden sound sources. Combine them to create gentle vintage sets or deep atmospheres.

Several wood types like cedar woods or rosewoods and metals have been recorded in various ways of playing like knocking, tapping, hitting,.. to achieve various characteristics. All sounds have been sampled round robin for a real natural, organic feel. They have been recorded in high resolution with the ORTF technique for a wide stereo image.

New Snapshots

With the snapshots you can easily load our pre-built sets. We have also created a few unconventional drum sets. We heavily changed the tuning of some wood knocks, wood hits and metal hits and added lots of the FX to simulate unconventional kicks, snares and hihats. These snapshots also demonstrate the possibilities and the bandwidth of the AmberWood Drums, like the "Twin Twin" track shows at a glance. No other Drums than the AmberWood Drums have been used here.
